The 2010 City2Surf for Gawad Kalinga (2010 C2S4GK) Organisers invite you to represent GK in the Sun-Herald City2Surf to be held on Sunday 8 August, 2010.
For those unfamiliar with GK, it is a global movement that transforms poverty and disaster-stricken areas into viable and sustainable communities. It was established in the Philippines and to-date has spread to Papua New Guinea, Cambodia and Indonesia. Donor countries include Australia, USA and Singapore to name but a few.
The Sun-Herald City2Surf is an annual event in Sydney which draws close to 75,000 participants who run, power-walk and stroll a distance of 14kms, from the Sydney CBD to Bondi Beach.
This year, we aim to recruit 150 registered Heroes (93 registered heroes in 2009) and we want YOU to be 1 of them!
Registration involves 5 steps (http://c2s4gk.gk1mb.org):
1. Fill-in details required on Worksheet 1 - ‘Register with GK’.
2. Register on the 2010 Sun-Herald City2Surf website by following the instructions outlined inWorksheet 2 - ‘Instructions – Online Rego’.
3. Create your own online fundraising page by following the instructions outlined in Worksheet 3 - ‘Everyday Hero Page Setup’.
4. Be aware of the registration costs, as perWorksheet 4 - ‘Registration Pricing’.
5. Email the completed 2010 C2S4GK Registration Pack (attached) to c2s4gk@gmail.com.
Over the next few days/weeks, we will communicate to you exactly where funds will be directed, the C2S4GK T-shirt design & logo and introduce you to the C2S4GK webpage and Facebook page which will serve as other means of communication.
